" THE CAGE "

last night james , jordan and my dad put the crib together to see what it needed as far as screws and such. come to find out, it needed screws to keep the bottom part of the crib together where the mattress lays. i was at work so the boys went to the hardware store to get what they needed. i called james to find out how everything was going and to see how my little jordy bum was doing. jordan got on the phone and was all excited that he got to help put the crib together and he was telling me about the store and what was there and he was trying to show me something through the phone, not wanting to burst his bubble, i played along like i could see what he was showing the phone. when i asked him what he was there to buy, he simply said, " nails!" knowing what he meant i asked him, "what for?" and i guess looking through a 5 year olds eyes i could see why he said what he did, because his answer was, " for the cage. the baby cage" so all nigh long everytime i talked to him i asked him how the baby cage was going. when i got home from work i went in to kiss him goodnight and he told me, "sorry mom, we didnt bring the cage home tonight." i thought it was the cutest thing.

Love the baby cage comment! Kids think of things in such amazing ways.
